Cake Challenge Contest

This fun and artistic challenge has become one of the most anticipated events of the festival. Cakes will be judged on artistic creativity, decorating technique, and presentation of theme.
The winner will receive a $100.00 gift certificate, a trophy and bragging rights for a year. Contestants will be listed on the website and will receive recognition throughout the event.

Official Rules and Regulations
- Cakes will be accepted from licensed bakeries as well as cottage industries.
- Cakes can be up to a maximum of 2 feet wide.
- First place award is a $100.00 certificate, a trophy and bragging rights for one year.
- Judging will be based on artistic creativity, decorating technique and presentation of theme.
- Contestants may enter up to 2 entries per license. Each entry is $50.00.
- Entries must be checked in by 9:00AM on March 17, 2012. Cakes should be delivered on plastic plates or other medium which will not be returned. Judging will be finalized at 3:30PM.
- Each cake must follow the theme of "South Florida with an Irish Twist".
- Winners will be contacted by phone and formally announced on the main stage of the festival on Sunday, March 18, 2012.
- All entries become the property of Coral Springs Festival of the Arts and will be auctioned at 4:00 PM on March 17, 2012. All proceeds belong to the Coral Springs Festival of the Arts.
- Cakes will be in an air conditioned area but will not be refrigerated.
- On the back of the entry, provide a brief description of the cake. This description will be used for the silent auction.
- Deadline for entry is Thursday March 1, 2012.
